'You don’t have time': Groom dashes into the sea to save drowning man during his wedding photo-shoot

A man's wedding day did not goes as he expected when he ended up having to save a man who was drowning.

The bridal parties photo shoot had to be abandoned mid-way when the groom, Zac Edwards, spotted a man nearby who had gotten into difficulty in the sea.

The former lifeguard, rushed into the sea off Orange Beach, Alabama.

His new wife, Cindy had told him to wear his fancy wedding trousers into the water to  save time in rescuing the drowning man.

According to The Sun, she said, “a lady had come up to us and said that guy is out there struggling. He can’t get back, he’s having a hard time.“And he goes to start taking his shirt off and he went off to take off his bottoms and I was like ‘you don’t have time,''' she continued.

Zac then said, "she said don't worry about your pants, just go. See you've got to listen to your wife because otherwise, you're in trouble.”

The 37-year-old explained that the strong sea current almost dragged him to his death during the rescue.

His bride avoided any issues with her wedding gown – with her thoughtful new husband saying, ‘I’m bleeding from the nose and trying to tell her get away because I know how important that dress was and I didn't want to ruin that.”

Zac and the unnamed swimmer, who is a student from Mississippi, received medical attention and it has been said that the the swimmer will make a total recovery.

Well done Zac!
