Father and son graduate together after a remarkable journey
A father-son duo from New Jersey, Duvinson and Benjamin Jeanty, graduated from university together this year after a remarkable journey.
And not alone did they complete their journey together, but they are the first in their family to graduate.
In a remarkable story of determination, the pair graduated from William Patterson University; Duvinson obtaining a degree in Finance while his son Benjamin acquired a degree in psychology.
Benjamin dropped out of college a number of years ago and had decided to get a full-time job instead.
However, his dad had immigrated to the States from Haiti, without having graduated from school.
But he made a decision to get an education, and class by class, Duvinson graduated from school while working a full-time job.
Seeing his dad thrive and work hard, it inspired Benjamin to go back to university, and with his dad entering college in the same year, the pair ended up graduating at the same time.
