6 things you will miss about the baby stage

As challenging as the baby stage is, it will pass you with a blink of an eye. Between the sleepless nights and the exhaustion that comes with parenting a newborn, there will still be a lot of things you’ll miss about the baby stage.

Here are some of the moments you will miss about having a newborn.

• That heart-warming feeling you get when your baby wraps their entire hand around one of your fingers – whether you notice it or not, your heart probably melts every single time this happens!

• How their head fits into the palm of your hands (or your partner’s hand. Babies grow ever so quickly, so it’s moments like this that are worth cherishing.

• The cuddles. Those magical moments between you and your newborn where you’re so lost in the moment that you forget about the rest of the world. Unfortunately, your baby won’t want to cuddle you forever, so enjoy it while you can.

• Needing you. We know, it’s hard to let go of the fact that your newborn will become less dependent on mammy. At the start, they rely on you for almost everything, but later, your baby will only come to you when they need something. This is something a lot of mums miss terribly.

• Tiny socks, tiny hats and tiny everything! A newborn’s clothes are absolutely adorable and once your little one grows, it gets harder to imagine them so small. Remember to keep some of these items, it’s always good to have something to look back on.

• Once your little one goes into toddlerhood, there will probably be times when you miss the days they couldn’t walk at all.
