You need to head along to see Robin Hood's special sensory friendly show

The Helix Panto – Robin Hood, announced today that a specially adapted sensory friendly performance will take place on Tuesday, 18 December at 7:00 pm.

The specially adapted performance will include softer and brighter lighting, with no sudden noises or bangs. Music will be played at a suitable level and no flashing merchandise will be available at The Helix for this particular sensory performance.

In addition to these changes, children can bring along their assistant dogs into the theatre and a particular allowance is made for children who may need to move around more or who may react in different ways to the performance.

Produced by ThreatreworX Productions, The Helix was the first theatre in Ireland to stage a panto performance incorporating the different sensory needs so that children can have an enjoyable experience with their family.

Speaking on the announcement, Claire Tighe, CEO of TheatreworX Productions said: "We’re delighted to be staging our sensory show again this year at The Helix. We’ve worked closely with Autism Ireland to ensure we create a comfortable and welcoming environment. Our cast, crew and the staff at The Helix work together to ensure every family enjoys their day out in a safe and comfortable space. It’s a show we all look forward to each year."

With all the wit, magic and fun, The Helix Panto, Robin Hood will captivate audiences of all ages with a magical story, lively music, song and dance, eye-catching sets and of course lots of laughs for all the family to enjoy.
