Stuffing? We've got the ultimate Christmas shopping list

December: a month of festivities when the ongoing juggling act that is parenting requires a whole other skill-set.

From concerts, plays, and performances – to what to wear, what to gift, and how to keep everyone happy, Christmas may be a wonderful time of year… but it's also incredibly demanding.

And there's the small matter of preparing a Yuletide feast to impress. Buying too little of one thing; not enough of another – and always (no matter what) forgetting something.

Cranberry sauce, stuffing, or brandy butter – we're all guilty of leaving something behind.

Which is why we were over-the-moon to discover what we're calling the ULTIMATE shopping list.

Compiled by Tesco, its no-nonsense, clear approach will be perfect for when you're skipping around the supermarket aisles with a couple of excited-by-Santa-Claus small ones.

It's extensive without being overwhelming and at MummyPages, we particularly appreciate the addition of a 'Don't forget' section – reminding us that the essential likes of bin bags, toilet roll, and firelighters need to be replenished too.

Furthermore, most of us know that a well thought-out list is a must too when you're trying to set Christmas budgets and cut-down on food waste.

Previously, a Unilever study revealed that households in Britain throw away the equivalent of 4.2million dinners on Christmas Day alone.

Indeed, the food left on plates there on December 25 adds up to to 263,000 turkeys, 740,000 Christmas puddings and 17.2million Brussels sprouts.

That all equates to an incredible £64m (€74.5m) of wasted food.
