We can all relate to this mum finding £70 in her child's toy register

Kids: sweet, innocent bundles of joy or tiny humans that make you feel like you're going insane?

Well, it's definitely the latter in this instance for sure!

When Rachel Thornhill couldn't figure out where all her money was going, the mum-of-three started to question her sanity.

"A pound here, 20p there, nothing major but coins I'm sure had been there now weren't."

Well, it wasn't anything major until £20 notes started to vanish that is.

Sure that she hadn't spent her 'disappearing' cash, Rachel decided to have a look around her house for it – but to no avail.

We're feeling for her at this stage – the thoughts of misplacing a fiver never mind a few twenties makes us feel gravely ill.

Sadly, however, her search proved fruitless, and her missing money was to forever stay missing.

Well, until she sat down with her daughter Esme to play with her toy cash register that is.

Because there in the till Rachel found her missing money.

A total of £67.85 was found tucked away.

"Seemed she’s making a fortune from plastic sweet corn and a can of fake alphabet soup!" the mum wrote on Facebook.

Hmmm, maybe THAT'S where all our money has been going… (and not on our takeaway coffee addiction).
