Dad creates app to help his non-verbal daughter communicate

It can be difficult for young children to communicate to their parents before they are able to talk – resulting in many a tantrum.

Thankfully, over time, they will start to pick up a few words, and begin to convey their feelings verbally.

However, for Rob Laffan's daughter, Sadie, learning to talk is not a possibility, because she has non-verbal autism.

This means that she struggles to tell her parents how she feels, what she  needs and/ or what she desires.

So, to help make her life a little easier, Rob decided to create something special: a revolutionary app, TippyTalk, that translate pictures into readable text.

Helping children and even adults, the app reduces frustrations and gives everyone the ability to communicate.

We don't know if it is the distress of Sadie at the start of the video or Coldplay playing in the background… but we're officially crying watching it.

What a fabulous idea; it's sure to change so many lives.
