This Irish granny’s ‘non-Communion’ card is CRACKING us up

Nonie Love is one of the growing number of Irish mums who are not raising their kids with religion.

Naturally enough, Nonie’s elderly mum was a little taken aback by this.

“Back in the day, Memmeh (aka mum) wasn’t happy when we told her we didn’t believe in god,” she wrote on a Facebook post.

“She was still shocked when we didn’t get our youngest two christened just in case.”

But it seems Memmeh has come around to the idea. Well, enough to make a joke of it anyway.

“We didn’t want our sons feeling left out on the day the classmates made their Communion, so we had a ‘non Communion’ day and headed off to an adventure centre,” said Nonie.
“Memmeh took things to a step further sticking €20 into a card, so they still got a bit of money.”

But it wasn’t just any card that Memmeh put the money into. Check it out below. Ah, we suspect she’ll try to convert them yet!
