This woman is the world's first teacher with Down Syndrome

When Noelia Garella was a child she was rejected from a preschool, and called a "monster".

Noelia has defied all of the odds, and has become one of the few teachers in the world with Down Syndrome.

Initially, Noelia was told she could not teach classes, but she powered through with the help of her parents and her the town’s mayor.

She was eventually allowed to take courses on teaching children how to read, and it all went from there.

Noelia, 31, is one of only a few people in the world with Down Syndrome to teach and the first in Argentina.

She teaches a class of two and three-year-olds, where she reads them stories, and makes funny voices to go along with the characters.

The children clearly love their teacher very much, which can be clearly witnessed in the video of Noelia reading to her class.

What an amazing example of perseverance and determination.
