The stunning, powerful image that sums up the IVF journey PERFECTLY
Anyone who had their children through IVF will know how tough it can be emotionally and physically. However, despite the rollercoaster of emotions, there’s no doubt they would all agree their beautiful kids were worth it.
So when we came across an amazingly poignant image honouring both the IVF journey, and the life that was created as a result, we knew we just had to share.
Posted on the Sher Institutes' Facebook page, the image shows a gorgeous sleeping baby girl surrounded by IVF syringes gathered into a heart shape.
According to the Institute’s posting, the image shows the “true definition of love that went into making this gorgeous new baby girl” – and we have to agree.
And the powerful image prompted other mums who had been through IVF to comment with their own experiences.
“My IVF twins are now 13,” said one commenter. “They were worth every injection, every procedure, every mile driven to the fertility clinic!”
While another agreed wholeheartedly with her sentiment: “Wow!!! My IVF baby is 4.5 now. Worth every single shot, pill, sonogram, blood draw… you name it. Would do it over again in a heartbeat for my precious son.”
“Beautiful,” said another mum. “After a long year of unsuccessful fertility treatments I finally got pregnant after my first IVF cycle. At 30 weeks I gave birth to triplets. Today, they are happy, healthy, crazy 2.5 year olds. For anyone that is struggling to conceive, please know my heart is with you.”
And it’s not only the mums and dads who are happy when they conceive, the nurses and doctors are thrilled too.
