The essential child car seat safety tip you need to know

When it comes to car safety you can never be too careful.

In an event of a crash, you want your little one to be the safest and most protected they can be.

Even a small adjustment can make a massive difference.

The independent child seat experts, Child Seat Safety Ltd., issued the warning about adjusting the headsets behind children’s car seats.

They warn against wedging the child’s car seats under headrests.

“Why? In the event of a collision, the child will be propelled forward. The seat needs to go with them, to protect them.

“If it’s wedged in, the child will move forward without protection.”

Speaking to The Huffington Post, Jan Jones of the family safety company, Good Egg Safety, said that this is a common car seat issue:

“This is not an uncommon issue, we have seen this at many of our car seat checking events.

“It is easily resolved by removing the vehicle headrest so that it doesn’t interfere with the effectiveness of the child car seat which obviously must take priority.

“Many parents don’t realise this, but it’s an easy error to fix.”
