Teidí Tours Are Returning to Croke Park This Halloween Mid-Term
Halloween mid-term is fast approaching and if you’re already staring down the barrel of nine days wondering how to keep the kids entertained, Croke Park has just handed you a very solid answer.
The GAA Museum’s Teidí Tours are returning this Halloween and this is the kind of outing that earns you serious mum points. Not just because it gets everyone out of the house, but because the kids actually come home with something they made themselves — a fully stuffed, kitted-out GAA teddy bear that they’ll be dragging everywhere for the foreseeable.
So what actually happens on a Teidí Tour?
Each tour kicks off in Cú Chulainn’s Den, where children get to build their very own sports teidí from scratch. They’ll pick the skin, stuff it, find a little teidí heart, choose a name and even get a bearth certificate (yes, really — and it’s adorable). Then their new fluffy friend gets dressed in an official GAA Museum training kit, ready to face the world.
After the workshop, a guide takes the group on a proper tour of Croke Park itself — dressing rooms, pitchside, the works. The teddies come too, naturally, so expect a lot of very proud four-year-olds marching around one of Ireland’s most iconic stadiums clutching their new best friend.
All tickets also include access to the GAA Museum after the tour, where children can follow Cú Chulainn’s Quest — a trail through the exhibitions where they hunt for clues along the way. It’s the kind of thing that keeps smaller ones genuinely engaged rather than tugging at your sleeve asking when they can leave.
When are the tours running?
Tours will run daily at 10:30am from Saturday 24th October through to Sunday 1st November, covering the full stretch of the Halloween mid-term break. Each tour lasts approximately two hours.
Tickets must be booked online in advance and they won’t last long — spaces are described as extremely limited, so this isn’t one to leave sitting in a browser tab for a week.
What do tickets cost?
Pricing is straightforward:

Child (ages 3 and over): €32 — includes the 16-inch teddy (with it’s own training kit) to make and take home

The experience isn’t suitable for children under three, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. But for anyone with a GAA-mad three-to-ten-year-old who still believes Croke Park is basically Hogwarts, this is genuinely worth it.
