Surrogacy Ukraine: Who Can You Trust?

Surrogacy Ukraine: Who Can You Trust?

Surrogacy has long been debated as a moral construct, but when happiness and other basic human rights are on the line, sometimes you must go with your gut.

Or perhaps, the belly of another woman. Surrogacy, while being around since the dawn of time, is still being hotly debated. Throughout the centuries, each time there has been a sound argument against the safety or lawfulness of surrogacy, science has come through with novel alternative.

As more and more media seem to only focus on the negatives of this forever blossoming enterprise, less focus seems to be on the scientific advance and genuine need of the service. “Surrogacy Ukraine is currently fraught with some less than favourable media coverage, which makes a difficult decision all the more troubling for many intended parents.” Ilaya, one clinic that seems to uphold the law, science, and human elements that keep surrogacy afloat in the waters of malcontent.

“The laws in Ukraine are incredibly thoughtful. They support not only the intended parents, but the children, surrogates, and practising agencies themselves.” Ilaya believes that through adherence to the laws set out by Ukraine surrogacy governing agencies, the world may finally see that in Ukraine, they can lay their trust.

Surrogacy Throughout the Ages

Historically, the concept of exactly how the woman was to be impregnated was of indignant rebuke. To keep a marriage bed sacred, and a woman free from more, physiological, burdens, intrauterine insemination (IUI) was brought to light. This allowed a surrogate to be impregnated without her needing to copulate with the intended father directly. Using a catheter to directly inject donated sperm into an awaiting womb. However, still requiring the woman’s egg in order to produce a pregnancy. This is known as traditional surrogacy.

Media coverage went into a flurry over the baby M case, a ruling that brought the concept of surrogacy directly into the line of sight of the public. It brought into question the legitimacy of traditional surrogacy. As to whether a surrogate mother, who is indeed genetically related to the child, has any say should she decide to keep the child for herself. It also brought into light the absolute necessity of a binding legal agreement, to be created prior to pregnancy. And so, we were brought the pre-birth order or surrogacy agreement.

After years of scandal and concern over parentage rights, and wicked litigious battle, in vitro fertilization (IVF) came to the table. This was a way to circumvent the surrogate’s genetic burden entirely. With IVF, egg and sperm from the intended parents are combined in a laboratory setting and implanted following a successful union. This is known as gestational surrogacy and is now the golden standard of surrogacy practice.

As exceptional circumstances began to step in, genetic donors were found to cover the needs of couples who otherwise couldn’t use their own. The sciences came with necessary improvements in cryonics and other novel practice that made donor materials storable, and usable.

Suddenly, there was the octomom storm. Following all the advances in reproduction, women were having more and more babies, at the same time. These shocking numbers of gestation not only put the children at risk but also the carrying mother herself. Concerns rose over whether it was safe to be a surrogate, as practice in that time would implant more than one embryo at once, to help boost the chance of pregnancy. This resulted in multiple births and put many surrogate mothers at risk. It also leads to some difficult decisions to be made by intended parents. Decisions that no hopeful parent would ever want to make. In response, we were given preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD). Alongside being able to check an embryo for possible congenital disease and genetic problems, the test can also allow physicians to choose viable embryos prior to implantation. Which means that surrogates no longer had to put themselves, or future children at risk.

Taking the Anxiety Out of Surrogacy

As science and practice continue to advance, so too does the irreverent protest of the practice itself. Despite the continuation of moral and psychological debate, Ukraine surrogacy continues to offer better care as time and obstacles also march on.

Since the early 2000’s, Ukraine has tended to the needs of thousands of couples in search of a real chance at a family of their own. Implementing laws that protect not only parents but surrogates as well. Strict licensing and practice legislation guide providers in giving the best care medicine can provide, as well as driving scientific advance.

Scientific license goes far in Ukraine. There is no age limit for intended parents, so long as there are no health contraindications. There is no cap on IVF attempts. Exceptions for cryogenics and PGD have been made. Making Ukraine surrogacy a driving force in the medical community of the country. It creates jobs and promotes manufacturing.

Laws regarding surrogate welfare are also etched into the existing legislation. Surrogates must be of a certain age, and already have a child of their own. They are also required to pass several physical and mental exams. Not to mention social benchmarks. Requiring them to have decent living conditions, wages, and a husband that agrees with the proceedings. Hopefully keeping exploitative practice outmoded and out of demand.

With an influx of healthy candidates, intended parents rarely must wait long to get their own journey underway. Laws are extremely favourable for them, allowing them to claim sole custody over the child from the point of conception. Making it near impossible and completely unheard of to have complications regarding parentage later. Ukraine itself is a stunning country, easily accessible throughout Europe. Cost of living is low, so for many intended parents, this means comfortable lodgings and affordable travel. Something that is wildly necessary when facing hardships of this manner.

So, as problems arise, Ukraine seems more than happy to answer them in kind. Giving parents not only options and peace of mind, but a true reason to trust in Ukraine surrogacy and its related practices.
