Baby

Reality of motherhood: ‘I sit in the driver's seat and I'm like 'oh my god, it's actually about to come out'

As soon as you become pregnant all sense of dignity goes out the window.

Hey, you're going to push a tiny baby out of your nether regions with the World and it's mother looking in – there's no time for shyness here!

However, as most of us mothers know, the embarrassing moments don't stop when Baby arrives.

They continue on well after you've given birth, sometimes striking at the most inconvenient times – like when you are in the car.

Which is exactly what happened to this mum, a few weeks after she gave birth to her twins.

Bec Judd, who is mum to Oscar, eight, Billie, three, eight-month-old twins Tom and Darcy, was on her way home from the city when she suddenly felt the urge to pee.

Thinking "Ah, I'll hold on…" she hopped into the car… forgetting that after four children her pelvic floor is "not as good as it used to be".

However, she suddenly had the realisation that she was not going to be able to hold it in.

So the mum did the only thing she could do – she grabbed her daughter Billie's spare nappy and put it on.

Talking to Australia's KIIS FM, Bec said: "I'll sit in the driver's seat and I'm like 'oh my god, it's actually about to come out.' I can't hold this in, I'm so post-natal."

"Luckily I had a spare nappy in the glove box, so I just whacked it on … and away we went."

Jokingly, the mum added that the nappy held it all in: there were no leaks or spills.

And kudos to the mum, far from being embarrassed, she hopes that she has inspired at least one mum who finds herself in a similar situation.

"Hey, this could really take off."
