Prince George effect: When did under-twos get so very STYLISH?
We're going to blame the gorgeous Prince George and delightful Princess Charlotte – not to mention the seriously stylish likes of Blue Ivy and North West.
Yes – small ones are now much better dressed than we have ever been… or will be.
Mum: leggings and trainers with three-day old hair and a hoodie. Her eight-month old: perfectly complementing pastel hues teamed with chic outerwear and subtle accessories.
Granted by the time they reach their terrible-threes they're rocking perpetually mismatched socks and tomato-stained, strangely stretched t-shirts – but those early months can be gloriously glamorous for your baby.
It's something that Kate Scott, an Irish mum-of-two, certainly knows. Last year, she came up with the idea of an online baby boutique when trying to find unique Prince George-worthy clothes for her adorable son Ryan.
Then this summer, while on maternity leave round two with her daughter Emily, she researched and contacted several well-established and upcoming global brands which she hoped might be eager to work with her.
The result? The launch of the stunning moonandback.ie – an online baby boutique for dapper newborn to two-year-olds.
Boasting some 13 international and home-grown children’s brands we did a little leap of stylish joy to spot the likes of Emile et Ida, My Little Cozmo, Sleepdoe and Mini Learners – labels which have never been available previously to parents based in Ireland.
We particularly love that each gift purchased on the site is wrapped up and sprayed with a special Burberry baby safe perfume (fancy pants!).
Saying she was desperate to offer parents something "a little different" than the usual High Street stables, Kate added: “With the growing trend of baby style on Instagram I wanted to try and bring some new and exciting brands to Ireland.
"Gifting was especially important to me as I know the feeling of receiving a beautifully wrapped baby gift so this was an additional service I wanted to provide."
We've been drooling over the site since it kicked off earlier this week – and suffice to say the selection on offer (including gifts, stocking fillers, nursery prints, and cards) is totally divine, not to mention fabulously festive-worthy.
Indeed, we fully expect Duchess Kate to be stopping by in a matter of weeks!
Offering baby clothing and gifts for ages 0-2 years, moonandback.ie has now launched.
