People are sharing remarkable things about themselves, and it's beautiful

Veronica Peterson was first drawn to her dog, Judge, because of his unusual birthmark. The Golden Retriever has black markings on his muzzle, making him a pretty unique looking pup.

And she wasn't the only one who was struck by his markings. Family, friends and even strangers would comment on his remarkable colouring.

After being asked a number of times about her dog, Victoria decided to ask people what they considered to be the most remarkable thing about themselves.

The lawyer from Nevada decided to share people's response on a special Instagram account, The Remarkable Golden, and in the process has created the most feel-good social media page.

People are sharing the one thing that makes them stand out; from taking care of a dog to serving others, the responses have been incredible, and we're feeling empowered reading them!

Lauren – "I try to make a difference for at least one person every day. We call them starfish at our department. There is a story with the starfish. This old man and a young boy are walking down the beach and the young boy keeps throwing starfish back in the water. The old man says ‘why are you doing that, there are miles and miles of beach and you can’t save all of the starfish.' The little boy says, ‘but i saved that one.’ So we just try to find one person a day, whether its doing something simple like having a meaningful conversation with someone. It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture – it could be opening a door for somebody who has their hands full or helping somebody who locked their keys in their car – something that is not traditionally a police call for service. Or it can be something like listening to a sexual assault victim tell me their story."

Such a lovely way to celebrate everyone's individual qualities!
