‘Nannies get the children dressed, washed and fed. They provide the human touch’

As parents, we want our children to be happy and healthy and grow up in a world filled with love and laughter.

Sadly, however, for many children in the Republic of Moldova who have special needs or live with a terminal illness this is not the case – something charity Outreach Moldova (ORM) is trying to change.

ORM is an Irish Charity with Irish volunteers that protects orphaned, abandoned and abused children with special needs, as well as children with terminal illnesses in Moldova.

And with the help of their Nanny Programme, ORM are able to provide human touch and care to these vulnerable children.

"Our Nannies get the children dressed, washed and fed,"Jonothan Sultan Director of ORM, explained.

"Although they won’t replace their mums, they will be the next best thing offering them the support they can’t live without."

This November, the charity will be hosting their annual Shelbourne Lunch to raise much-needed funds, and to recruit even more nannies.

"We are particularly challenged this year with a current drop of income, which led to the painful decision of cutting some medical staff," Jonothan continued.

"We hope that with this fundraiser and several others planned for the end of the year, that we can raise the necessary funds to ensure no more cuts are made.”

The 5th annual fundraising lunch will take place on Friday, 3rd November 2017 in the Shelbourne Hotel, St Stephen's Green, Dublin.

Promising an afternoon of fine dining, high fashion and entertainment, with a surprise celebrity MC and guests including Ireland's top business entrepreneurs and corporations, social and media personalities.
