Mum's STUNNING photos of her four kids growing up without electronics

In a world dominated by screens, one photographer mum has decided to take a step back and share what life is like without them.

Niki Boon is raising her four children in a very traditional, old-school way.

They live on a 10-acre property in New Zealand that's surrounded by the natural beauty of the coastline, rivers and gentle rolling hills.

And most importantly, it's a life almost completely free of electronic devices.

"My children are unschooled and live without TV or modern electronic devices, a lifestyle that may seem unconventional to some, but I am here to celebrate the magical place I choose to live with my family," Niki told My Modern Met.

And judging by the beautiful photos, her children couldn't be happier with their unconventional upbringing.

The stunning black-and-white photos document their everyday lives, from relaxing on the patio together, to eating ice-cream, playing in the sprinklers and running through the muck.

Niki also said the children have very 'minimal interaction' with the camera while they are in front of it, but gives a selection of the images to the children on their birthdays.

"They will hold a piece of me and my love for everything they are and everything they do," she said.

The proud mum often shares striking snaps of her children on her Facebook pages with captions to explain what was going on in the moment.

The latest instalment of the photo series has been shared thousands of times, and the snaps are inspiring other mums to reduce reliance on electronic devices to entertain their kids.
