Mum's account of survival will give you all the Wonder Woman feels

Life for Mum on the Run, Laura, hasn't been a walk in the park.

The mum-of-two has had some pretty challenging experiences in her life, which many mothers can relate to.

Getting through the everyday pile as a mum isn't easy, and we're often faced with various self-deprecating scenarios.

Laura too has been faced with these situations, many of them not so savoury – but there's one thing she knows – she'll get through it.

"I've been the mum who's card declined at the check out, and had to embarrassingly put shopping back with a line full of people. But I survived it."

"I've been the mum who's child pushed another child where all eyes were on me like I was a disgusting human being. But I survived it."

"I've been the woman knocked down by people I've loved the most, hurt by them so deep. But I survived."

We've all been there, each one of these scenarios are relatable in some shape or form as Laura admits to being the same mum who has locked herself in the bathroom, sobbing to herself, thinking the worst.

But with each snippet of her life on display, she reveals the point that needs to be heard; she survived.

"I'm not a super hero, I'm not always resilient but in the darkest days, I know, I just know I can survive. Because I don't quit, I won't quit. Because quitting means stopping, and I can't stop. I won't."

"And there were days I wanted to throw in the towel, days I had nothing left as a person to give.

"But I picked myself up. I did it because my family is worth it, because I am worth it," added the resilient mother.

There are bad moments, moments we wish we didn't have to soldier through or think about, however Laura's point is valid: "But they're just that. Moments… but bad moments are not bad mothers."

So from here on out, when you find yourself having one of those days where you want to quit, remember Laura and take her story on board. Because like us, she know's you can survive.

"On days where motherhood beats the shit out of you, on days where you feel like the worst mother in the world even though you are not even close, don't [quit] because I promise you, you WILL survive it."
