Mum who is taunted online for sharing a bath with her children makes us all think twice

A mum has found herself in the firing line after a picture posing with her sons was uploaded online.

Stacey Solomon, a mum-of-two from the United Kingdom has been the subject of much online abuse after she uploaded a photograph taking a bath with her boys.

Many online users felt that it was inappropriate for the mum to be sharing a bath with her children who are nine and five-years-old.

However, Stacey confessed that the event is regular in her household, as normal as having dinner, and does not see how it poses a problem.

Stacey spoke out following the negative backlash, and there is a lot to be said for the way she handle the situation: "Anyone who is horrified by the thought of parents sharing a bath with their child I think has issues."

"Why does the body always have to be looked at as some sexual thing? Why can't it just be the human body? Why is it not normal?"

The questions posed by the mum gives many food for thought as she makes some pretty good points.

We continuously teach our children not to comment on other people's body types and not to judge other humans, but yet we continue to sexualise the body in the same breath.

While personally we believe it's each to their own, we do have to ask the question, what is normal?

Isn't everyone's idea of 'normal' different to one another? We sure hope it is because in our eyes that's what makes people unique.

While Stacey hit's back at the naysayers, she also has the strength to understand her way of life is not for everyone.

"I understand if you don't want to have a bath with your children or you don't like it, but I think it's sad to sit there and judge people and say 'that's wrong' or 'disgusting'."

What do you think? Do you share a bath with your children or have you taken some slack for your family life choices?
