Mum ‘uproots’ her family to create a flower farm in the countryside

We all have hopes and dreams, but more often than not our dreams don’t become reality.

We get side-tracked, life gets in the way, or sometimes we just don’t think our dreams are possible.

But one mum believed she could make her life-long dream a reality, and went at it full steam ahead.

Kristin Burrello uprooted her Chicago life, moving to Connecticut with her husband, kick-starting her flower farm.

The mum-of-three previously worked in professional theatrical production for 20 years and has brought her design experience to life on the farm.

Kristin’s three sons give a helping hand with their mum’s adventure too, as the mum clearly states:

“We strive to live more simply, and guide our boys through nature and hard work.”

Albeit, Atticus (12), Miles (10) and Jotham (5), are given rewards for their time, such as television time, or pocket money, but the boys help pick flowers, clean buckets and even clean out huts the family’s chickens sleep in.

And not alone has Kristin made her dreams come true, but her business at Muddy Feet Flowers is now booming, spending her weekends attending popular farmer’s markets, making bouquets for weddings, and most importantly spending quality time with her family.
