Mum stops breastfeeding after 3 months, and her reason why is so important

New mum Cameran Eubanks welcomed her daughter, Palmer, at the end of last year.

And now, after three months, the mama has decided to call it quits on breastfeeding, and her reasons why are so incredibly important.

Her decision to quit has nothing to do with a lack of supply or due to ill health though.

No, Cameran has just decided enough is enough – she's just "plain over it".

Taking to her Instagram page, the mum-of-one wrote:

"Today marks the day I am DONE with breastfeeding. Gave it a good almost three months and I am retiring the boobs."

Explaining her reasons for writing the post, the mum continued: "Writing this in hopes it will make other mothers feel less alone.

"You see, I'm not quitting because my milk supply dried up or because I'm sick… I'm quitting because I'm just plain OVER IT. By CHOICE."

I know I’m opening up the flood gates with this one.

The 34-year-old's reason for hanging up the nursing bra is something that should be shared far and wide.

Why?

Because it's important that fellow mums know that, yes, it's OK to admit when you've had enough; when you can no longer take your boob out every time your little one calls or when you want your body back.

Cameran loves her daughter exactly in the same way every mama loves their baby. And just because she has switched to formula doesn't mean she loves her any less.

As the mum quite rightly says: "You are not a bad mother if you don't like breastfeeding. A happy mama is the best gift you can give your baby."

Well done, Cameran, for showing mums that it's OK to admit when you have had enough.
