Mum closes off access to her living room for a brilliant reason

Nick Denbow and his family are hosting a very special Thanksgiving dinner this year in their home.

In preparation for this family event, Nick's mum has formally closed off all access to the family living room.

Denbow, 17, told BuzzFeed News that his mom put up the sign on Saturday because she was tired of having to clean up after "my and mostly my brother's messes" in the living room.

Nick's mum put up a note blocking off the entrance to the living room, explaining that it had been cleaned for the holidays and nobody should enter.

However, this amazing mum did list special exceptions to the rule:

"Special permission will be considered for you to sit on my clean furniture only after the following conditions have been met: you have showered and are dirt and odour free."

Nick tweeted a picture of his mum's hilarious note, and it has since gained viral status.

The tweet has been liked 33,000 times, and has been retweeted 14,000 times.

"Mom and I find it really funny, but I think my brother's a little irritated that he can't watch TV haha," he wrote.
