Mr Price's Easter Collection Will Save Your Sanity This Spring

Easter is creeping up fast and I genuinely haven't bought a single egg yet. Not one. And then I'm here trying to remember where I hid the craft supplies from Christmas.

If you're in the same boat, Mr Price has dropped an Easter collection that might actually save us all. And by save us I mean… it won't break the bank while still making the house look vaguely festive and keeping small people entertained. Prices start at €1.49, which feels almost suspicious in this economy.

The Bits Worth Grabbing

Let's start with the thing that caught my eye: the 20" Easter Rattan Wreath for €12.99. I know, €13 on a wreath sounds like a commitment. But honestly? It's the kind of thing you can stick on your front door and suddenly your house looks like it belongs to someone who has their life together. It has that woven twig base with pastel speckled eggs and little pink daisies. Spring in wreath form, basically. And you'll use it year after year so the cost per wear (cost per hang?) works out.

There's also the Easter Flower Water Can for €7.99. It's a little galvanised watering can filled with artificial flowers and decorative egg picks. Cute for a hallway table or windowsill. Or if you're the kind of person who actually has time to style a dining table for Easter lunch, this would look lovely as a centrepiece.

Keeping Small People Busy

Now for the stuff that actually matters when you have kids: things that keep them occupied for more than four minutes.

The Easter Jumper Rabbit with LED and Sound (€5.99) is one of those interactive decorations that plays sounds and lights up. Will it drive you slightly mad by day three? Probably. Will your kids be obsessed with it? Almost certainly. Sometimes you just have to pick your battles.

The Shaped Bracelet Kit at €5.99 is genuinely useful. It comes in a flower-shaped container with different compartments full of pastel beads and colourful elastic cords. My lot can spend ages threading beads onto string. It's the kind of activity that buys you enough time to drink an entire cup of tea while it's still warm.

And then there's the Happy Hoppy Easter Colouring Book for €4.99. This one has 20 posters you can pull out, colour and display. So not just colouring… there's a whole activity arc. Colour it, rip it out, stick it on the fridge, feel accomplished. Perfect for the school break when you need entertainment that doesn't involve a screen.

For smaller kids there's also an Easter Jumper Bunny that looks properly cute with LED lights and sounds . Cream coloured with long ears and a little carrot accessory. The kind of toy that will immediately become a permanent member of the family and require its own seat at breakfast. You know how it goes.

The Bottom Line

Mr Price has built out a decent Easter range without asking you to remortgage. If you're planning a family gathering, decorating the house or just trying to get through the school holidays with your sanity intact… there's something here that'll help.

The full Easter collection is available in store and online now. Prices start from €1.49 for the smaller bits, with the bigger statement pieces topping out around €13. For once, celebrating a holiday without the financial guilt feels actually doable.

Now if someone could just remind me where I put last year's Easter baskets, that'd be grand.
