Killashee Hotel Is Bringing the Magic to Halloween Mid-Term This Year
Mid-term is creeping up faster than a child in a ghost costume, and if you haven’t sorted a plan yet, don’t panic. Killashee Hotel in County Kildare has a Halloween family package that genuinely sounds like the sort of thing your kids will be talking about until Christmas. Teddy’s Halloween Adventure Package will run from Friday 23rd October to Sunday 1st November, and it’s shaping up to be the kind of break where the little ones are absolutely sorted — and you might actually get to sit down for five minutes.

The package covers two nights in a spacious deluxe family room for two adults and two children, with the option to add a camp bed for a third child (a supplement applies). The spooky stuff
Killashee is pulling out all the stops on the entertainment front. Spellbinding movies will be shown each evening in the Spooky Movie Room, which sounds like the cosiest way to wind down after a full day of Halloween chaos. Guests staying on 31st October will also be treated to Halloween face painting, making it an especially magical night if you can time your stay to include it.

Beyond the Halloween theming there’s genuinely loads to do. Families will have full access to the Leisure Centre with its children’s pool, 25-metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The grounds include a woodland playground complete with a zipline, nature trails through the estate, an enchanted playroom filled with toys for younger children, and the Larkspur Lounge with a big collection of board games for the whole family. If you need to tire out a six-year-old, this place has options.
Worth the trip on its own
Even leaving the hotel itself aside, the location is brilliant. Killashee sits close to Russborough House, the Japanese Gardens and the Irish National Stud — all within about 15 minutes — so if you want to make a proper break of it there’s plenty to fill the days. Newbridge Silverware and Kildare Village are also nearby, which might appeal once the kids are settled and you’re eyeing up a bit of time to yourself.
