JK Rowling sends touching tweet to mum of newborn with ‘Harry Potter lightning birthmark’

This mum was amazed when her little girl was born with a ‘Harry Potter birthmark’, and just had to tweet JK Rowling.

And she was delighted when the bestselling children’s author tweeted back her congratulations!

Canadian Twitter user and Potter fan @jo_mak had originally posted a photo of her daughter, Sofia, with the jagged purple birthmark clearly visible on the left side of her forehead, which looks remarkably similar to the one Harry has in the hugely popular Potter books.

“I read all the Potter books while pregnant,” she wrote. “This is my daughter Sofia with her #harrypottermark.”

JK Rowling then responded, saying: “Well, I’m not going to apologise because I think she looks beautiful!' along with two emojis, one of a lightning bolt and another of a love heart.'

Unsurprisingly, Twitter loved it and hundreds of Potter fans started posting their own tweets about the unusual birthmark, and offering their congratulations.

Little bit of trivia: Harry Potter has a number of scars but his lightning bolt scar on his forehead is the most famous. The boy alchemist got the scar when Lord Voldemort made an attempt on his life when he was just 15-months-old…

SHARE if you think JK just gets cooler and cooler!
