'I’ve worked hard to earn it': mum's sweet celebration of her postpartum belly

Mum-of-four Constance Hall is a total boss.

The Australian blogger, who just had her forth child last week, is all about body positivity and celebrating mum's bodies.

And her latest post is no exception.

Posting a sweet selfie with her new arrival, she celebrates her postpartum tummy- or "mum rig" as she otherwise calls it. During her pregnancy she had no problem showing it off.

"This is my rig. For the last 9 months it’s housed the worlds best baby. It’s also been the subject of many photos and shown off in tight dresses and midriffs."

While housing her new arrival, her body went through a lot of changes.

"The beautiful rig that stretched to its full capacity and then stretched some more, the skin, fat, muscles and organs that kept me and my baby safe, fed, warm and alive. This is the rig that my baby falls asleep on and my husband kisses."

And while her body has just done an amazing thing, mums usually come under pressure to lose the baby weight.

"The thing is that when the baby comes out comments change from 'beautiful belly!!' To 'don’t worry you’ll lose that.'"

But she still lovers her "rig"

"I’ve worked hard to earn it and I’m proud of it, I’m proud of anything that brought this beautiful baby into the world."

Too true, mums! With society's ridiculous expectations about "bouncing back" after having a baby we all need to remember to remember to take a step back and appreciate your amazing achievement.
