Ireland’s NEW children’s festival takes place this August, and we're excited
The team behind Ireland’s largest summer festival Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular festival have partnered with living happy and healthy advocates, The Happy Pear to create a unique festival for kids and their parents celebrating playfulness, fun and imagination.
A digital detox for families, Playstival with The Happy Pear focuses on ‘going back to basics’ and a more innocent approach to games and play – no fancy technology or a screen to be found!

Set across two days in August at the beautiful Airfield Estate in Dundrum, Dublin 14, the aim of Playstival with The Happy Pear is to create unforgettable days of play for families, and a wholesome and delight-filled alternative to screen-based fun.
Play is an integral and important part of children’s lives and the focus of Playstival is to ‘go back to basics’ and experience a more innocent approach to games and play. It will feature a range of hands-on, fun imaginative games and themed ‘play universes’, with no fancy technology or screens to be found!
Designed to encourage interaction, creativity, spontaneity, and movement, Playstival’s objective is to provide families with an opportunity to celebrate simple play, fun and imagination, which is central to sustained physical and mental wellbeing.
Playstival showcases eight themed ‘play universes’ for children to immerse themselves in, use their imaginations to create ideas, roles and characters, and most importantly have lots of fun.

From a construction site for kids to the Wild Wild West, the creativity themed ‘play universes’ are designed specifically to captivate young imaginations and entertain.
Additionally, delicious and nourishing Happy Pear food will be on offer throughout the weekend – from healthy wraps and salads, to hot dishes, as well as Happy Pear smoothies, hand-roasted coffees, and a selection of healthier cakes and treats.
