INCREDIBLE little girl who lost all her limbs is living life to the full
Sometimes a story comes along that strikes us dumb. Let us explain…
Harmonie-Rose Allen was just 11 months old when she was struck down by a strain of meningitis which developed into Meningococcal Septicaemia. Doctors said it was one of the worst cases they had ever seen and on her first day in hospital gave her a 10 percent chance of survival.
Harmonie-Rose fought through however, but the reality was that surgeons were going to have to remove her arms and legs and part of her nose if she was to survive. Poignantly Harmonie-Rose contracted the disease just ten days after taking her first steps.
Now two years old the utterly gorgeous Harmonie-Rose is making a remarkable recovery as a quadruple amputee with the help of loving parents Freya and Ross Allen.
Although she’s quick as lightning scooting around on her bum, Harmonie-Rose has started to walk with the use of a special walking frame with wheels. She has also been fitted with ‘stubbies’ – little prosthetic limbs – and has been practising standing up in them by herself.
A little post to send some lovely smiles to you all today! Check Harmonie out on her legs!! Balance is getting better everyday! Great standing baby girl!

She even was recently fitted for her first ever prosthetic legs with little shoes!
Harmonie-Rose has been through so much and still manages to live life to the full. Her parents have documented Harmonie-Rose’s incredible spirit on the Facebook page Hope for Harmonie.
Freya and Ross are clearly fantastic parents to Harmonie-Rose. Despite the obvious challenges they are finding clever ways to help her live a relatively normal life, such as supervising her with a blunt knife so she could open her birthday presents by herself!
We are beyond inspired by Harmonie-Rose's cheerful nature and strength of spirit. We have a feeling she will handle whatever life throws at her brilliantly.
