'He’s Fallon’s best friend': Adopted dog saves six-year-old from drowning

Fallon Lennox was on a day out with his family when the unthinkable happened.

The six-year-old was picnicking at Wet Beaver Creek, Arizona when he fell into a creek and was swept down the river.

Unable to swim or touch the bottom of the creek, Fallon very quickly was in danger of drowning.

His father, Tommy, along with a number of other adults tried to rescue the youngster but couldn't reach him.

The family's recently adopted dog, Yeti, was there and he immediately sensed that something was wrong.

Jumping into the water, the one-year-old pooch managed to push little Fallon to shore where he was, thankfully, pulled to safety.

"It was too cold, they weren’t supposed to be swimming, and Fallon fell in the river and got swept down the river toward the little falls," his father explained to CVBugle.com

"All the adults were running to him and couldn’t get to him – the dog got to him and pushed him up to shore.

"I was just yelling at Fallon that the dog’s saving you, grab on to the dog. The dog literally pushed him to the person that was closest."

Yeti has only been with the family for less than a month but it's clear that he and Fallon are going to be the best of friends.
