Teen Years

Here's how you can FINALLY get your teen to put their phone down

As the old saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child, and now your teenager can experience exactly what that means, thanks to a new TV show.

WAKATV are on the lookout for embattled parents who think their teen could benefit from a change of scenery, swapping life under Mum and Dad to be 'Raised by the Village' in one of Ireland's closest knit rural communities.

Producers of the show want to bring city teenagers down to a rural village where they will learn that there's another way of life than the one they're used to.

From the get-go, the teenagers (who must be aged 13-17 and from urban or inner city areas) will be expected to contribute to village life.

And, under the watchful eye of local mentors, they will face challenges that will make for a genuinely eye-opening and potentially life-changing experience.

Perhaps you're frustrated by your teen's social media or gaming addiction, wary of their new group of older friends or worried about where they go in the evenings.

Maybe the teenager has had trouble in school or a brush with the police, and you're looking to give them a bit of a kick up the bum.

If this is something you are interested in, contact Aine or Catherine on info@wakatv.ie or call 01 6343732 for more info.

We actually can't wait for the show to be aired!
