Guy uses 2,530 bottle caps to decorate his kitchen - and it looks great
While DIY can be a great way to get things done around the house fairly inexpensively, it can also mean things don't get done for a VERY long time (well, in our house anyway).
For example, this guy (known as The Passion of the Chris) decided to create his very own home bar, and with the idea of using bottle cps for the design, set about collecting them.
Sounds easy, right?
Well, it took him FIVE years to collect the required number of caps (2,530 to be exact), and four hours to actually complete the job.
Posting his achievement to imgur, he stared off by explaining how he roped family and friends into helping him sort the colours – he was going for a ROYGBIV look (when you end up with a rainbow hue).
The bar itself consisted of plywood, glue and nails, and black paint to make it look a little bit more appealing…
Epoxy resin was poured over the caps to fill in any space.
And the end result?
Well, we'll let you decide if you like it or not…
And while it may have taken a REALLY long time to get it done, at least he managed to finish it!
