Good news eco-friendly mamas! WaterWipes are now biodegradeable

As mums, we go through our fair share of baby wipes throughout the day. That’s why we were only too delighted to hear that one of our favourite Irish brands, WaterWipes are now the world’s purest biodegradable baby wipes!

Parents no longer need to choose between what is best for their baby’s skin and helping to protect the planet. With the same market leading purity and quality, WaterWipes biodegradable wipes remain the world’s purest baby wipes, which means each wipe is as gentle to the planet as they are to delicate baby skin.

WaterWipes 100% biodegradable wipes continue to be made with just two ingredients — 99.9% water and a drop of fruit extract. Not forgetting, they’re plastic-free and compostable too, and are still proven to be purer than cotton wool and water, making them ideal for sensitive, newborn and even premature babies’ skin.

Orla Mitchell, CEO at WaterWipes said, “It is with pride as an organisation that we can announce that our baby wipes are 100% biodegradable. Following much internal and independent research we have ensured that our wipes are now more environmentally friendly while not compromising on purity or quality.”

“We as a company recognise the many challenges that parents face and we are now delighted to provide parents with products that effectively cleanse and protect the most delicate skin while also protecting the planet”.

WaterWipes are made in a state-of-the-art facility here in Drogheda, Co. Louth, with a seven-step purification process that makes the water in WaterWipes significantly purer than cooled boiled water allowing them to effectively cleanse the skin, without the need for several additional chemicals or ingredients.

Made from 100% viscose, a renewable, plant-based material which contains zero plastic, meaning they are fully biodegradable and compostable and take 12-weeks to decompose.

WaterWipes 100% biodegradable wipes will be available this month in Ireland across all major retailers, so make sure to keep an eye out!
