Gino's Gelato Is Giving Away Free Crêpes This Pancake Tuesday

If there's one day of the year where eating pancakes for breakfast feels entirely justified… it's Pancake Tuesday. And this year, Gino's Gelato is making the occasion even sweeter by giving away thousands of FREE crêpes across the country.

Yes, you read that correctly. Free. As in zero euro. As in the kind of mid-week win that makes the whole school-run chaos feel slightly more bearable.

On Tuesday, 17th February, Gino's Gelato will be handing out complimentary traditional crêpes with lemon, butter and sugar at 29 stores nationwide. The giveaway will run from 9am to 12pm and it's strictly first come first served. So if you're planning to grab one? Get there early. We're talking queues-around-the-block early.

This has become something of a tradition at Gino's and crowds have grown every single year. The energy is apparently brilliant… but so is the competition for those golden crêpes.

Jonathan Kirwan, founder of Gino's Gelato, said: "Pancake Tuesday has become one of the highlights of our year. The energy and excitement from our customers is incredible, and we love being able to give back to the community while supporting such an important cause. We're expecting another record turnout this year, so my advice is simple: get there early!"

If lemon and sugar feels a bit too virtuous for you (no judgement here), there's the option to add Nutella for just €2. And here's the lovely bit… 100% of those proceeds will go directly to the Children's Health Foundation, supporting children's hospitals in Temple Street, Crumlin, Connolly and Tallaght.

So not only do you get a warm crêpe on a February morning but you're also contributing to something genuinely meaningful. That's what we call a parenting win.

Gino's is also using Pancake Tuesday to officially launch its brand-new 2026 crêpe menu. Think indulgent additions like Biscoff and Snickers Specials alongside a whole range of new flavour combinations. If you've got little ones who consider Nutella a food group then this is going to be right up their street.

With stores spanning Dublin, Cork, Galway, Waterford, Wicklow, Mayo, Limerick, Wexford and Kildare, there's a good chance there's one near you. Just one note: Liffey Valley won't be participating in the promotion so don't head there expecting freebies.
