Family cat brings home a gross surprise...madness ensues

This video is the reason we're never getting a cat.

Jessica Wilzig Gottlieb was expecting a nice quiet evening in. But Broccoli, the family's cat, had other plans.

Strutting in without a care in the world, the feline decides to gift his human family with something small and fluffy.

A rat, and it's still alive. Hilarity ensues.

In a video entitled "I'm going to set the house of fire" Gottlieb tracks her hysterical reaction to Broccolis' offering, and it' subsequent escape:

"The cat is in the house with the f**king rat. Don't let him upstairs!" she screams as the cat stalks around the house with it's prey.

Gottlieb cautiously makes her way up the stairs, until she finds something even worse.

"I think he put the rat down. It's not dead! It's huge!"

Broccili has grown bored of tormenting the rodent, and has set it loose, in the house.

"The rat's f**king alive and it's sitting there and he's playing with it! OMG HE JUST LOST INTEREST IN IT MOTHERF****R.

He is the worst cat ever. I'm gonna throw up."

Continuing the saga on her blog, Gottlieb writes that the reason they got cats in the first play was to keep rodents out, not to bring them in.

The family have another cat, Sparky aka "the hired assassin". Broccoli, on the other hand, prefers to play with his food.

"And then it went down. And by down I mean downhill," she wrote. "Like a spiral. And it was terrible and I was up until 3 am."

Despite employing the second cat to seek out the unwelcome guest, 36 hours later there was no sign of a dead rat.

After setting traps, the rat reappeared, in the bin.

Gross.

Do you think this face feels bad for what he did? Not a chance.

Has your feline or canine friends ever brought home a similar snack?
