Pregnancy

Every mama-to-be should have this husband's explanation for pregnancy fatigue stuck to her wall

Pregnancy and fatigue go hand-in-hand, especially during the first trimester when it feels like you can't even make it to bed without needing a nap along the way.

Yes, there is a bit of an energy burst in the second trimester but it doesn't last long… as soon as you hit the last three months, you'll be back to your twice daily afternoon nap.

And it's easy to complain about how hard it is trying to get through the day when your energy levels are in a constant slump. Well, it is tough.

However, one dad-to-be has summed it up so eloquently, and we are actually going to print it off and stick it to our bathroom mirror.

Husband's explanation for pregnancy fatigue is so good! from BabyBumps

In a post shared on Reddit's Baby Bumps, user StarBurstLilly wrote: "I'm 25 weeks pregnant and had been loving my 'golden trimester' burst of energy, but I've been feeling SO tired again the past few days and have been feeling really down about it."

The mum then goes on to explain how she texted her husband about how she felt and his response is spot on.

"I texted my husband complaining and his response is one for the books," the mum-to-be wrote.

"Honeybun, you are literally crafting a tiny angel out of raw materials. It sounds exhausting.

"Even God needed a break after he made all his stuff."

Wow. Just wow.

What a beautiful way to explain away the feelings of frustration and exhaustion.

And as StarBurstLilly says, we should all be easier on ourselves, mums!
