Emerald Park's Club Weekend Is Back With €20 All Access Tickets
If your child is part of a GAA club, a gymnastics squad, a football team or even an arts and crafts group, this one is worth passing on to the WhatsApp group — quickly, before someone else takes all the credit for finding it.
Emerald Park’s popular Club Weekend is returning on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October, and it’s offering All Access tickets for just €20 per person for recognised clubs with a minimum of 20 guests. That’s a genuinely brilliant price for a full day out at Ireland’s premier family theme park and zoo, just 20 minutes from Dublin in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.
Last year, more than 60 clubs from all over the country made the trip for the weekend, with groups travelling from every corner of Ireland. The idea is simple: get the whole club together, wear your club colours and enjoy a day of rides, adventure and team bonding that people will actually talk about at training for weeks afterwards.
What’s in store for the little ones
The Junior Zone alone makes it worth the trip for families with younger kids. With more than 10 family-friendly attractions, multiple playgrounds and Emerald Park Zoo — home to over 250 animals from around the world — there’s more than enough to keep smaller members of the club thoroughly entertained. The Lemur Woods and the ever-popular Petting Farm are particular favourites, letting kids get up close with animals in a way that never gets old, no matter how many times you’ve done it.
New for the 2026 season is Lost Valley – Land of the Dinosaurs, a prehistoric-themed world that’s going to absolutely delight children who are currently in their dinosaur era (and let’s be honest, when are they not). The reimagined land features life-sized dinosaurs, the beloved Dino Dash coaster and the brand-new Swingosaurus, a dinosaur-themed swing attraction. There’s also a Dino Meet & Greet experience where guests can come face-to-face with a T-Rex, Velociraptors and a baby Triceratops, which will either be the highlight of their year or result in a very dramatic reaction — there’s no middle ground with these things.
For the thrill-seekers in the group
Older kids and adults won’t be short of options either. Emerald Park is home to some of Ireland’s most exhilarating rides, including the legendary Cú Chulainn Coaster, the adrenaline-pumping Na Fianna Force and The Quest in the immersive Tír na nÓg themed land. There’s also Viking Voyage, Ireland’s only flume attraction — ideal for cooling off or, depending on how things go, immediately regretting your outfit choices.
Whether your club is primarily made up of under-10s or a mix of adults and kids, the day genuinely caters for everyone. That’s the thing about Club Weekend: it’s designed to work as proper group bonding, not just a loosely affiliated queue situation.
Don’t leave it too late
The €20 All Access ticket price is only available for pre-bookings made by recognised clubs, and the deadline to book is 25th September 2026. That’s not far off, so this is very much one to sort sooner rather than later before the group chat descends into the usual chaos of trying to pick a date everyone can do.
If your club is travelling, it’s also worth knowing that Bus Éireann’s Route 105, running between Blanchardstown and Drogheda via Ashbourne, provides direct access to the park — a handy option if you’d rather not coordinate a convoy of cars.
