Easy shortbread recipe

shortbreadIngredients:

  • 200g plain flour
  • 225g cold unsalted butter
  • 110g corn flour
  • 110g icing sugar
  • 25g cocoa powder (optional)

Method:

  1. Put all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until well combined.
  2. Roll the mixture onto a floured surface and cut out shapes using cutters and then chill in the fridge.
  3. After an hour, place the shortbread in a preheated oven (110°C) with a sheet of baking parchment.
  4. Cook for an hour and a half.
  5. Remove from oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.
