Disney Store Dublin Is Bringing a Free Princess Experience This Weekend

If you’ve got a little one who is absolutely convinced she is, in fact, a princess — this weekend in Dublin might just be the most important thing on your calendar. Disney Store on Grafton Street is hosting a free Sprinkle of Magic Princess Experience this Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August, and it sounds genuinely brilliant.

The event is part of World Princess Week, Disney’s global celebration of the courage, kindness and heart of its iconic princess characters. And if your daughter has watched Moana seventeen times in a row or insists on wearing her Rapunzel dress to Lidl, consider this her moment to fully lean in.

What to expect on the day

Children aged three to 12 can visit dedicated sparkle stations where trained face painters will work their magic, giving every little guest the full fairy-tale treatment. Once the look is complete, each child will receive a complimentary light-up Disney Princess wand and a princess sash to keep — and then it’s time for the big moment: a photo in front of a stunning Disney Princess backdrop that’ll make for a seriously gorgeous keepsake.

Inside the store, the celebration continues with special Princess product spotlights throughout, featuring everything from sparkling tiaras and royal costumes to storybooks and dolls. Ariel, Tiana, Moana, Rapunzel and more all get their moment in the spotlight.

The important bit: booking is essential

The experience is completely free but advance booking is required — you won’t be able to just walk in on the day. According to the PR for the event, there are still slots available for Sunday 23rd August in the afternoon and evening, so if Saturday is already a write-off between swimming lessons and whatever else the weekend has thrown at you, Sunday is still very much on.

All children must be accompanied by an adult, which — given you’ll want to be there for the face paint reveal anyway — is hardly a hardship. You can book your free tickets via the Eventbrite link below.

A little bit of fairy-tale magic, right in the city centre

Vicky Woods, Director of Disney Store EMEA, said: “World Princess Week is about celebrating the strength, individuality and kindness that each Disney Princess embodies. We’re so excited to bring the Sprinkle of Magic princess experience to Disney Store Dublin and give young fans the chance to experience the joy, creativity and sparkle of a true fairy-tale moment.”

Between the face paint, the wand, the sash and the photo, it’s the kind of afternoon that’ll live rent-free in your child’s memory for years. And honestly? After the summer you’ve had, a bit of sparkle doesn’t sound too bad for the grown-ups either.

The experience is free. Tickets must be booked in advance. Children aged 3 to 12 are welcome and must attend with an adult. Book your free tickets here.
