Dad's post about a family he spotted at the airport has everyone talking

If you have ever brought your kids to an airport you will no doubt know just how HARD it is. And it's hard. Like really, really hard.

So when we came across this post shared on Facebook by Clint Edwards, it didn't take up long to realise why everyone is talking about it.

Because he's not shaming someone, or picking out their faults or even eye-rolling about the fact that their kids were bawling.

Clint spotted two parents trying to catch their flight with 14-month-old twins in tow, and he is praising them for their teamwork and basic ability to just get shit done – even in a trying situation like an airport.

"I hope they don't mind me posting this, but these two deserve to be noticed because they are parenting champs," the No Idea What I'm Doing: A Daddy Blog blogger wrote on Facebook.

"They have two small children, possibly twins. One is crying, and the mother is giving the baby comfort.

"The other needed a diaper change, so the dad is diving in.

"He didn't hesitate.

"Before that, both kids waddled off into the restaurant. The mother caught them, while the dad was busy breaking down the stroller."

Admitting they looked "a little frazzled" (well their flight was about to leave), but they "handled it".

The dad-of-three continued: "This is what parenting looks like. If you two are out there, reading this, I want you to know that you are kicking ass. Taking kids to the airport sucks so bad, and yet you are working as a team.

"I've been there sooo many times, and I know that it can feel like you are loosing it.

"That you are failing at this whole parenting gig. But from my opinion, as a father of three, you are doing it."

And the parents didn't mind the post directed at them; in fact, they embraced it and thanked Clint for sharing it:

"Thank you for the post! This was my husband and I with our almost 14 month old twins!" mum Christie Bienemann wrote under the post.

"Traveling with little ones is definitely NOT easy and we were pretty exhausted, not gonna lie! Appreciate the encouragement!"

And everyone was cheering Clint for sharing the post:

"There needs to be more posts like this. I have never had to take my kiddo to the airport, but I know the basic struggle of day to day errands with a little one in tow," wrote one.

"The stares people give for a kid learning how to behave in public is just awful sometimes.

"When I see a parent struggling with their little one I'll strike up a conversation with them. I will give them props, because we are all in this together.

"Thank you for this post, I hope the parents find this. We all need encouragement."

Absolutely wonderful post – we need to see more of these, Clint!
