Bluey's Big Play Is Coming to Dublin This Summer and Tickets Are on Sale Now
If you have a small person in your house who has ever shouted “Bluey!” at a screen with the kind of fervour normally reserved for rock stars, this one’s for you. Bluey’s Big Play — the Olivier Award-nominated live stage show based on the Emmy Award-winning children’s television series — is coming to Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre from 20 to 30 August 2026, and tickets are on sale right now.
Bluey, Bingo, Mum and Chilli are back by popular demand, brought to life through brilliantly crafted puppets, original music and the instantly recognisable voices of Dave McCormack and Melanie Zanetti as Dad and Mum. If you’ve spent the last two years half-watching episodes from the sofa while pretending you’re not emotionally invested, you already know how rare it is for a kids’ show to genuinely land for adults too. This one does. Every. Single. Time.
What’s the show actually about?
The story is an original one by Bluey creator Joe Brumm. When Dad decides he deserves a bit of afternoon peace on the bean bag, Bluey and Bingo have other ideas entirely. What follows is the kind of chaotic, clever, laugh-out-loud scheming that will feel very familiar to any parent who has ever tried to have five minutes to themselves. The music is by series composer Joff Bush, so yes, you will absolutely have the songs in your head for days afterwards.
The production has already been seen by millions of fans worldwide, touring across Australia, the UK, Ireland, Canada, the US, Europe, Singapore and the UAE. Critics haven’t been shy about their enthusiasm either. Broadway World handed it five stars, promising “full chair dancing and shrieks of joy,” while The Guardian called it “puppy puppets’ sweet show sets tails wagging.”

Natasha Spence, Events Director at BBC Studios, said: “The play’s last tour was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from audiences across the UK and Ireland. We can’t wait for more fans and families to experience the joy of seeing Bluey’s Big Play live on stage once again.”
The cast bringing it all to life
The talented company includes actors and puppeteers who know this world well — several of them veterans of previous Bluey’s Big Play tours across the UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond. Among them are Shakira Alleyne, Shanaye Flanagan, Miroe Fuches, Tess Oliver, Adam Ryan and Aarod Vawser, alongside newer faces including recent graduate Reanne Hewitt and Evie Whybrow, who brings credits including The Jungle Book to the stage. It’s a proper ensemble production and it shows.
Ben Hatton, Senior Vice President at Cuffe and Taylor, added: “We were thrilled with the incredible reception Bluey’s Big Play received in our previous tour. So we couldn’t be more excited to bring Bluey back to the UK and Ireland.”
