Big-hearted mother and daughter adopt nine siblings

Peggy Smith and her husband, from Florida, had no children, moments later, they had four.

They adopted four out of nine siblings, some of whom had been in foster care since birth.

The nine siblings had been desperately seeking a forever home- but their bond was so strong, they couldn't be split up.

Seeing a Facebook post by the adoption agency, Smith decided to take the youngsters in.

"We thought it was crazy, but we thought why not? Why not this family?" Peggy told local media.

"Why not us? We're young. We have a beautiful home. Why not help these kids out and grow our family this way?"

Peggy knew that they would not be able to take all the kids in by herself, so she enlisted the help of her mother-in-law, Loryn Smith.

Loryn and her husband were adoption and parenting veterans, having raised 15 adopted children and 5 biological.

The five older children will live a mere 5 minutes away from their siblings.

"Most importantly to let siblings grow up together. They didn't make the choices that separated them and they deserve to be together," said Loryn.

The siblings range in age from 15 to just 4-months. the eldest, Desiree said that she is delighted to have all her siblings around her.

"It's a good thing to be able to come home and be with your siblings again."

The adoption will be finalised in April and the nine children will finally have their perfect forever home.
