Basic omelette

omletteIngredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 20g butter, to fry
  • 2 tomatoes, washed and chopped
  • Salt and pepper

Method:

  1. Beat the eggs and water in a bowl until combined.
  2. Add the seasoning and then preheat grill on high.
  3. Heat a medium frying pan over medium-high heat until just warm.
  4. Add butter and tilt pan back and forth until butter sizzles.
  5. Beat eggs once more and then pour into pan.
  6. Tilt pan so eggs cover base.
  7. After a few minutes, use a wooden spoon to drag the cooked egg from outer edge into centre.
  8. Tilt pan so that the uncooked egg comes into contact with base.
  9. Place pan under grill until lightly browned.
  10. Serve with chopped tomatoes.
