Anonymous person spends $1m on toys from Toys 'R' Us for a heartwarming reason

A closing Toys 'R' Us store was shocked when a mystery person spent $1 million on toys to be given to local children.

How incredible is that?!

The store in Raleigh, North Carolina, revealed that they would be remaining closed on their last day of business.

A staff member at the Triangle Town Center store said that the employees had spent their final day at the store packing up all of the toys and loading them onto a truck for delivery.

According to CBS, the surprised customers had their suspicions about who the generous donor was.

“Maybe it’s Bill Gates,” said customer Hailey Rawles, who also suggested the buyer could possibly be Amazon.

“Oh, that’s so nice. I’m happy to hear that,” said Erin Sampson, who had popped into the store for some last minute deals.

America's biggest toy retailer, which had 700 stores across the United States, shut their doors for good on Friday, June 29th.

Many people took to Twitter to share their sadness at the closing of the iconic store.

One said that they were, ''sad at the fact that I didn't have a child that I could have taken to Toys 'R' Us in this era. Kids today never knew how important that store meant.''

Another said that, ''today my family and I said goodbye to Toys 'R' Us. It was an experience. I was and will forever be, a Toys 'R' Us kid.''

However, with this amazing act of generosity, so many children will be able to enjoy their toys now.
