Aloft Dublin City's Halloween Family Package Takes the Stress Out of Mid-Term
If you haven’t yet figured out what you’re doing with the kids for Halloween mid-term, you are very much not alone. Between the costume scramble, the sugar-induced chaos and the endless loop of “I’m bored” approximately forty minutes into the break, a little help goes a long way. Aloft Dublin City is stepping in with a family package that genuinely sounds like someone designed it with overwhelmed parents in mind.
The Halloween Midterm Family Package will be available for stays from 23 October to 1 November 2026 and brings accommodation, meals and Halloween activities together in one booking. No cobbling together separate restaurant reservations. No dragging tired children across the city in search of something to do. It’s all already there.
What’s included
The package covers an overnight stay for two adults and two children, a full Irish breakfast for the whole family each morning, and — the bit that will make most parents exhale with relief — complimentary lunch and dinner for children aged 12 and under from the children’s menu at Tenters Gastropub. One complimentary children’s meal is available per full-paying adult ordering from the main menu.
On arrival, younger guests will find a Halloween Welcome Pack waiting in the room, complete with colouring sheets, crayons and a few Halloween-themed surprises. There’s also a trick-or-treat experience built into the room itself, which will buy you some time of genuine excitement before anyone asks for the iPad.
Throughout their stay, children can visit the self-led Pumpkin Decorating Station on the seventh floor, where each child gets their own pumpkin to decorate alongside Halloween crafts and colouring sheets. Each evening from 6.00 pm, families can settle in for a complimentary Halloween Family Movie Night in Tactic, also on the seventh floor, with no advance booking needed. During the screening, each paying adult can enjoy a complimentary speciality coffee or 10% off cocktails at the WXYZ Bar — the movie night runs until 9.00 pm.
Something for the grown-ups too
The award-winning WXYZ Bar will be serving a specially created Halloween cocktail menu across the midterm period, with options including Witch’s Storm, Bloody Hell and Boo!geyman — that last one being a non-alcoholic option, for those keeping things sensible mid-week. Families can also take advantage of the panoramic views of the Dublin skyline over a board game or two, up until 9.00 pm each evening.

Aloft Dublin City is located in The Liberties, a 4-star hotel with a genuinely warm atmosphere that leans more social hub than stuffy corridor-and-carpet. Tenters Gastropub and the WXYZ Bar both sit within the hotel, so dinner doesn’t require coats, buggies or a debate about who’s sitting in the front seat.
The Halloween Midterm Family Package starts from €278 per night for two adults and two children. Overnight parking is available for an additional €35. The package runs from 23 October to 1 November 2026.
