A blogger has made sourdough bread from her yeast infection
You think you’ve read it all and then you come across a story about blogger that used the yeast from her thrush as a baking agent. ARGH!
Blogger and feminist Zoe Stavri decided to use the bacteria from her yeast infection to create a raising agent, ultimately using it to make two loaves of sourdough bread.
Feisty Zoe has proudly blogged and tweeted about her experience but of course the Twittersphere had something to say about it. A debate kicked off with many saying sourdough had been ruined for them forever!
Perhaps in defiance to her detractors Zoe ate the bread, saying: “A pretty damn nice sourdough bread. Not the tangiest sourdough I've ever eaten, but solidly tasty. I really, really liked it. After having a little bite, I ate a slice with butter. The bread was still slightly warm and the butter soaked in and it was absolutely heavenly.”
We. Feel. Funny.
