This baby may put you off those newborn photoshoots...!

As beautiful and sweet those newborn photos are, and as much as we would love to capture that – it may be best to leave the nappy on while doing so.

This father learnt that the hard way!

Al Ferguson, a 26-year-old blogger from Kent and his wife wanted to capture the tiny beauty of their newborn son, and decided to hire a professional photographer to take some photos of their little boy.

After about 30 minutes of repositioning and capturing the happily sleeping baby, he was placed in his dad’s arms for another picture.

Unfortunately for Al, this time his son had other things on his mind, as his dad explains: “It happened within a second, as I felt his stomach tense, in the back of your head you know he’s about to go poo, and then before you know it … he’s doing it.”

The photographer and Al’s wife of course couldn’t keep in their laughter, but the dad was more concerned about something else: “It’s not the kind of carpet that can be cleaned particularly easily … But the photographer did an amazing thing — she reached down for a nappy, picked it up, then went to put it over Ted’s bum to stem the flow. And she still got the shot.”

In his blog, Al wrote that after the initial shock, he’s quite glad to have the hilarious shot.

“[The photographer] managed to capture the event perfectly and having this photograph made the photo shoot that little bit better.”
