Two-year-old buys a gift for the family... but her dad is left in shock when he checks his emails

We all love getting gifts, especially when they are least expected.

However, we don't like paying for them ourselves… which is exactly what happened to this Oregan father when his 14-month-old bought the family a car: a classic 1962 Austin Healey Sprite.

Well, we say present, but what we really mean is Sorella Stoute was messing around on her dad's phone when she ended up on an eBay app.

And it wasn't until after her dad, Paul, saw an email requesting payment for the classic car did he realise what had happened.

"I actually thought it was a phishing email – one of those where people try to steal your information, that kind of thing," her father told ABC News

"I actually looked it up on eBay just to make sure it was legit and sure enough the little one must've bought a car."

The youngster had accidently bidded on the vehicle, and, as can be seen from her dad's credit card bill, ended up winning.

However, while Paul was told that he could get out of the purchase, he decided to keep the car for Sorella's 16th birthday!

Has your little one ever bought something online that made you question everything?!
