Hi
I need a barrier/preventative cream for my DS who seems to be prone to nappy rash. I have a great rash cream to clear it up, but want something gentle to use as a barrier cream...
any ideas?
thx

What about Aloe Vera Gelly, it would help heal the rash as well as act as a barrier

Wispa

I used to put almond oil on DD when she was tiny. Green people used to have a great bottom balm. This would be perfect: http://www.econatural.ie/baby-skin-care ... -60ml.html.

I have almond oil, but should I worry about nut allergies in babies or does that not apply to oil products??? Possibly a stupid question...!

I use egg white (whipped) for nappy rash, find it's brilliant, especially if you catch it early,
can get rid of redness in an hour if you get it at the start.

I used an oil mix of 50 percent olive oil and sunflower oil and then a few drops of tea tree oil and a drop of lavendar, on dd2, she was extremely prone to rash.

I have something that works brilliantly for his rash - Boo boo bottom butter, smells lovely and full of natural ingredients. I'm more just looking for a barrier cream to avoid the rash returning IYKWIM.
Sel's oils sound good and cheap I'll make up a wee bit and see how that works.

Badger Balm- looks just like vaseline but made with olive oil. Great stuff.
