I'd imagine each bank may have its own way of showing balance/arrears. Would you not contact your lender to ask?

Banks differ in the way they show balances and arrears. But what is showing as the balance should be the total owing if you wanted to pay off in the morning for example give or take a bit. Arrears while they do increase the balance as the balance isn't reducing as it should be are really more of a notional amount, they are the amount of repayments you are behind on the originally scheduled payments, most banks would have this figure separately somewhere but maybe not on your online banking, definitely if you were looking at your account on the bank computer you would see it. It shouldn't affect the overall balance though, it's just a part of it.
